St Thomas, Melling has been at the centre of Melling community life for many hundreds of years. The full name is St Thomas and the Holy Rood, (‘rood’ is an old English word which means cross). Records show that a cross was placed on the hill as far back as 1140 and now in 21st century Britain, the life and love of Jesus is celebrated each week.

Sunday Services:

We meet for worship at 10:00 am each Sunday for 1 hour, following Common Worship and on the 2nd and 4th Sundays we also celebrate Holy Communion. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday there is an early service of Holy Communion at 9:00 am

Other weekly meetings are:

Tuesdays: Meeting for prayer 7pm

Wednesdays: Short Service of Holy Communion 10:30 am
