St Thomas, Melling has been at the centre of Melling community life for many hundreds of years. Also known as St Thomas and the Holy Rood, (‘rood’ is an old English word which means cross), records show that a cross was placed on the hill as far back as 1140. Now in 21st century Britain, the life and love of Jesus is celebrated here each week. We are part of the Maghull and Melling Team Ministry in the Diocese of Liverpool.
